TV5 sticks with Willie Revillame and “Willing Willie”

Controversial host Willie Revillame will still be watched on Willing Willie.
TV5 will not dump Willie Revillame’s “Willing Willie” show in spite of pressures from certain public sectors and the temporary pull-out of advertisers. The company considers the show its flagship program and have been generating revenue for the company.
The current controversy started when a boy named Jan-Jan Suan danced like a macho dancer during an episode of the show. The YouTube video has gone viral and viewed by local and international social media users. It has also caught the eye of the government, media personalities and other sectors. Recently, some advertisers of the show temporarily pulled their products from the show as the probe whether there was child abuse that happened or not is ongoing.
Willie Revillame is currently on voluntary leave and only reruns of Willing Willie are currently broadcasted.
